Front Office Assistant<\/h3>\n

Primary Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The primary function of this position will be to greet patients, check patients in, get entire information needed to prepare the patient\u2019s chart, answer telephones, make appointments, check patients out, review patient information for completeness and accuracy; input patient information and charges in computer, collect balances\/copays, post payments, maintain secure cash drawer, prepare work\/school excuses, balance daily journal at the end of the day, prepare new patient packet\/appointment reminders, filing charts, preparing charts, transferring medical records, etc.<\/p>\n

General Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

This position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, a warm caring attitude, and the ability to work harmoniously with fellow staff members as well as with patients; the work environment is often noisy and requires frequent interruptions.\u00a0 The person filling this position must be able to perform simultaneous tasks without anxiety and must present a well-groomed appearance.\u00a0 This position deals with physicians, support staff, and patients on a variety of issues.\u00a0 Since this position deals with patient\u2019s protected health information, all information must be handled in a CONFIDENTIAL <\/strong>manner.<\/p>\n

The attached task list provides highlights of specific tasks and functions for this position.\u00a0 While specific duties are delineated herein and on the attached task list, all employees of The Palmetto Skin and Laser Center are expected to perform other tasks requested or directed by the Supervisor(s) as the need arises.\u00a0 At all times our philosophy of Service Excellence<\/strong> and the Needs of the Patient<\/strong> must be paramount.<\/p>\n

Position Relationships<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

This position does not supervise any other employees.\u00a0 The Front Office Supervisor and Office Manager supervises it.\u00a0 Regularly scheduled evaluations of performance will be carried out by the Office Manager with input from the Front Office Supervisor and Physician(s).<\/p>\n

This position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, a warm caring attitude, and the ability to work well as a team. Medical Assistant<\/h3>\n

Primary Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

This position is responsible for rendering professional care to patients within the office of The Palmetto Skin and Laser Center.\u00a0 Duties may include, but are not limited to preparing patient\u2019s charts and record prior to calling patient back, escorting patients to exam rooms, assisting physician in exam room as needed, drawing labs as needed, ordering and stocking supplies, completing lab duties and handling calls.<\/p>\n

General Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Technical training in basic medical assistant procedures and skills with experience in phlebotomy.\u00a0 Ability to perform routine laboratory procedures.\u00a0 Works well with patients.\u00a0 Possesses the maturity, professionalism, and discipline to work in accordance with accepted medical standards.\u00a0 The person working in this position must be a sincere and caring individual and work well with fellow staff members.\u00a0 A well-groomed and professional appearance is required.\u00a0 This position deals with physicians, support staff, and patients on a variety of issues.\u00a0 Medical Assistants will have access to patient\u2019s protected health information from patient\u2019s records as well as patient information stored in the computer database in order to provide care.\u00a0 All information must be handled in a CONFIDENTIAL<\/strong> manner.<\/p>\n
